About Anastasia

Melbourne-based artist Anastasia Nikakis works across various mediums and techniques, including oil on canvas and both plaster and bronze sculpture.

Her love of art began at a very young age, often finding inspiration in people, culture, fashion, colour and design. Many of her pieces feature faces and the female form, celebrating beauty, character, strength and joy.

Anastasia is very considered about each of her pieces, researching and planning a piece well in advance of taking brush to canvas. She aims to have her viewers connect directly with each piece and to feel the celebration of life which they express.

Anastasia has held several solo exhibitions and featured in various group exhibitions and events, including the Sculptors Victoria exhibition at the Herring Island Arts Festival.
